The Bridesmaid: Melanie Wilkes

I wanted to give Melanie a little exposure after doing the Scarlett Wedding.  The first portrait has her hair fixed via Photoshop.
One of these days, I'm going to have to send her to one doll hairdresser to have it fixed like this.
I also believe that she has one of most elegant sculpts ever done by Tonner. The sculpt has the most beautiful cheekbones. There are times I wish Tonner did more dresses for Melanie. But in the film she really didn't wear a lot of glamour wear than her sister-in-law.
Enjoy the portraits = )

Scarlett Break: Tonner "Lord of the Rings" Galadriel

I only posted her once and thought maybe it would be good to photograph her again and photo-edit. Like all things, we see new ways of approaching things -- from the biggest to the smallest. A friend said, "that's what makes life interesting. You're experience always changes."
Back to the doll, The Tonner Galadriel is blessed with generous amounts of hair that has waves and thus, plays well with the light.
Cate Blanchett is one of my favorite actresses of today's generation too. So I couldn't miss out on not having a Cate Galadriel.
Well, have a nice weekend!

Repainting...retouching: "Viv"

I had been planning to repaint this old doll made into Vivien Leigh.  Or perhaps the proper term is "retouching".  When you look at old work,  you see a lot of things you could have done with a little more patience.  Trust me I'll probably look back at this repaint and probably retouch it again. An attempt at a much more detailed eyes, eyebrows, blushing and eyelashes, hair too has been re-curled, trimmed and fixed (or should I say sculpted).

I have attached a before and after -- only it seems like an "after" and an "after-after" lol.
